Sharing some images from Big Sur, California, these are a few images taken near the water’s edge. When I was visiting out there, it was raining and quite windy, in fact I almost blew off the point overlooking Bixby Bridge, the famed bridge in Big Sur. Phew! It was very windy. But, I survived and lived to share the images you see here.

The thing about landscape photography is that you can’t usually move the landscape so you have to get yourself there when the light is good and the time is right to take the picture. This usually means getting up at the crack of dawn and hiking a lot before you can take any shots. I rather liked Big Sur as it was mostly a “drive-thru” landscape. By that, I mean you could pretty much pull up in your car, get out, take some shots and be on your way. Not much hiking, although this makes for more tourists.

At some point, I will setup a Big Sur gallery over on Carol’s Little World. I will include these as well as some of the other images I shot while I was there. It really was a wonderful place to visit.

Until next time…

I wonder how much work goes into creating a website this excellent and educational. I’ve read a few really good things here, and it’s definitely worth saving for future visits.
