Let’s dive into the dazzling world of light, yes, light! That magical stuff that makes everything from sunsets to disco balls sparkle and the stuff that puts magic into our cameras. This vibrant explosion of hues is a celebration of color itself, and let me tell you, it’s like a party for your eyes.
When I set out to create this series after signing with Singulart, I wanted to explore the nature of light itself. I wanted to craft a body of work around light being a subject. It sounds a little bit odd maybe, but I thought it might be a great experiment, a fun way to play with light, maybe even a new way to look at light.
Picture this: you’re wandering through a dark room, feeling a bit like a lost sock in the laundry, or maybe you’re walking down a dark street in the dead of night, when suddenly, BAM! You’re hit with a kaleidoscope of colors that could make even a rainbow blush. This image evokes that feeling. It is shimmering and sparkling like confetti at a New Year’s Eve bash. It’s the kind of visual experience that makes you want to throw your hands in the air and shout, “Yes! This is what life is all about!”
Now, let’s talk about the details. The luminous quality of this piece is like that friend who always brings the best snacks to the party, irresistible and utterly captivating. Each glimmering facet seems to whisper secrets of joy and celebration, inviting you to lose yourself in its depths. It’s the kind of artwork that makes you want to don your most outrageous outfit and dance like nobody’s watching (even if your cat is side-eyeing you from the couch).
This is one of those pieces that looks different when you get up close and examine it too. There is a lot of detail in the image, yet it reads like a light explosion from across the room. It’s available now in limited edition (edition size 15) printed on metal in a 24×36 inch size over in my Singulart collection.
And the abstract nature? Oh, it’s like a visual riddle wrapped in a mystery, sprinkled with a dash of whimsy. What do you see? A chaotic burst of happiness? A reminder that life is too short to be anything but colorful? Or maybe it’s just a gentle nudge to embrace the sparkle in your own life. Who needs realism when you can have this vibrant festivity?
So, the next time you find yourself in a dull moment, just remember this artwork. Let it be your reminder that life is meant to be luminous, messy, and a little bit sparkly. Embrace the chaos, dance in the colors, and for goodness’ sake, don’t forget to wear your most fabulous outfit while you’re at it. Because if you’re going to celebrate life, you might as well do it in style!
Until next time…
