You’ll Find Me In Print and On Gallery Walls

"Writerly Magazine" cover where You'll Find Me In Print

It’s been a while since I’ve shared some good old-fashioned Carol news so, without further ado, I have a few things to share, a few different ways you can find me this summer.

For starters, if you are the reading kind (and, let’s face it, you are the reading kind, otherwise you would not be here) you can find one of my images gracing the most current issue of Writerly Magazine. Yes, it’s true, you can find me print and happy to be included in issue 05 which is available on their website in both digital and print editions. One of my iceberg images was printed alongside some fabulous poetry and I’m thrilled to be included in the company of such wonderful wordsmiths. (At the end of the world, there will be poets and cockroaches and I know who I want to stand next to when all of that crap goes down, right?)

This year has been a really great year to find me in print since it seems like just a few days ago I was published in Canvas Rebel, so we should celebrate this before those feelings fade, right? (Editors, if you are reading this, get in now while there’s still time! Kidding, I’m kidding. Actually, I’m not…call me, m’kay?!?)

If that were not enough, well, Carol-ism for you, I’m also excited to share the news that I have work up at the Jester Gallery in Round Rock, Texas. As part of the Round Rock Image Creators show called, “The Art of Round Rock Image Creators” I’ve got about six pieces on display along with some of my newly crafted gift items (t-shirts and mugs to be exact) featuring my artwork.

The show was curated by Round Rock Arts and is located inside the Williamson County’s Jester Annex Building, at 1801 E Old Settlers Blvd, Round Rock, Texas. You can find me in the show that’s up now and running through October 17th. There will be an opening reception on Saturday, September 14th from 3-5 pm if you are in town and want to stop by for a peek at the work.

For this show, I wanted to do a small themed series of work, since it was about five pieces. I opted for a theme of “Water” which is a common thread for a lot of my images. You can read my artist statement and check out some of the work from the show here.

It’s been kind of an odd summer, I must confess. It seems kind of slow and yet a lot of stuff suddenly started happening. Ah, I should be used to this by now, as the art world is always a bit like this, yet somehow, it seems to take you by surprise sometimes. I’m happy to be celebrating the four year mark of Carol’s Little World, my online gallery site, and also this wonderful news of being included in print and on the gallery walls again, not to mention the biggest whopper of them all, I finally made it to the grocery store before I had to scrounge frozen berries out of the bottom of the ‘fridge.

I hope you are having a wonderful summer and I’m so humbled and grateful for all the support I get in bringing Carol’s Little World to you. Here’s wishing you fresh berries and a fabulous summertime to boot.

In the meantime, if you want me, you can find me in print and on the gallery walls!

Until next time…
