In case you’re wondering what the expression “grab the bull by the horns” looks like, well, here it is! For those of you looking the grab some opportunities for yourself, you’re in luck because I have compiled a list. Yes, it’s true, it’s time for another Opportunity List. Here you go:

  • Southeast Center for Photography has a call for entry for their upcoming “Modern Nude” figurative exhibit. You can find their prospectus on their page.
  • A Smith Gallery has a call for entries exploring the theme “Water.” You can find info on their page.
  • Since we had the “Modern Nude,” I thought it was only fair to add an opposite call. This one exploring the theme “Wear: A Call for Works about Clothing, Adornment, or the Worn.” At Manifest Gallery you can find entry information (if you are well dressed!) on their page here.
  • Speaking of Manifest Gallery, if you’re undecided about the entire clothing business but still want to get in on some of the exhibition action, they do also have an open call for exhibition proposals. This is open to solo and group shows and is all media. It is open themed and is for their next season of exhibitions.
  • The FotoSlovo Awards are open for submissions. This is an international award and you can find entry information on their page.
  • Black Box Gallery has a call for entries exploring the theme “Color Burst.” This is for contemporary photography and you can submit your work here.
  • Decode Gallery has a call for Square photography. You can find out more information and submit your work on their website.
  • Stanisonne Art Gallery in Berlin has a call for entries exploring the theme “Abstract and Surrealistic Worlds.” You can find entry details on their website.
  • Lyme Art Association has a call exploring the theme “Expanding Visions.” You can find details and entry information on their website.
  • Photo Place Gallery has a call for their upcoming “Color + Space” exhibition. You can find entry information and details on their page.
  • For those local to the Austin area, specifically Georgetown, Texas, there is an open call for exhibition proposals for the Georgetown library. You can find submission details and enter your work on their page.
  • The Atlanta Photography Group has a call for entries exploring “The Language of Color.” You can find entry details on their page.
  • The Photo Review 2025 is open for submissions. You can read more and submit your work here.
  • The Daylight Photo Awards are open for submissions. You can submit your work here.
  • The Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity is now accepting submissions for their Mountain Photo Essay Competition. You can find details on their page here.
  • The Photometria Awards, this year judged by Alec Soth, are open for submissions. If you are a photographer, you can submit one image for free. Details are on their website here.
  • Submissions are open for F-Stop Magazine. This time around it’s an open themed. This one is for photographers and you can find more information along with submission details here.
  • The Southeast Center for Photography has a second call for “The Contemporary Portrait.” This is juried by Aline Smithson and you can find the prospectus here.
  • Soho Photo National Competition is open for submissions. Details on their site.
  • Art Fluent has a call exploring the theme “UNTAMED.” This is for wildlife artists, as it’s all media. You can find more details and entry information on their page.
  • If you are a wildlife photographer, Praxis Gallery has a call you might be interested in also. This one exploring the theme “Animal Life.” You can find entry details on their page.
  • The Photo Oxford 2025 open call is now open for submissions. This is an international festival of photography, with the theme this year being, “Revealing Truth.” You can find information and entry details on their website.
  • The Urban Photo Awards are open for submissions.
