Recently, I shared some advice on getting your work to the next level. The good folks over at North Austin Pfotography Society (NAPFS) invited me to speak about artist marketing and advancing as a photographer. Being a longtime member of the group, I was happy to help out and share my expertise in this area. This is a topic I’ve discussed before, with some different art groups around Austin, and I was happy to update the material a bit and share more of my expertise with the photographers.
The NAPFS folks were also kind enough to record the presentation and now I’m happy to share it with you. If you are an artist or photographer looking for some tips on how you can advance your work, it just might help you out some.
Basically, the topics covered fall into a few different items:
- Mindset reset – having your mind in a good spot to be able to advance. I’ve seen it so many times how we are often standing in our own way and being our own obstacles to success. In the presentation, I shared some tips to help with some common issues.
- Tools – with good tools in place, you can really fly. I shared a few common things you can do to help lay the foundation for advancing your work.
- Stories – I shared what I called “story time with Carol” or some funny stories that help illustrate how you can help move your work to the next level.
I hope you find it useful and that it maybe helps get your work to the next level, whatever that might be for you.
Until next time…
