This one really reminds me of the French Quarter.
I was thinking yesterday that I need to get my hair trimmed. In a funny way, this reminded me of New Orleans, since, the last time I got my hair cut, it was just before I left. I can remember being crazy busy, trying to clean my house and all before my trip, but still happy because I had time to cut my hair, and it had been many months since I had gotten it cut before that.
Now, I need a hair cut again, and it has me thinking that it’s been way too long since I’ve been in the French Quarter. I wish I could sneak away for a weekend, but I probably can’t. (I’ll still check the prices on expedia, all full of hope and anticipation, just to make sure, but, and this is just a hunch here, the airfares have gone up, so I don’t think I can swing it now.)
I think I would like to go again, so long as it’s not so hot, just because I enjoyed being there. It’s a nice place to visit and I really want to get my butt back into that French Market, to take more pics of masks and such.
I love the French Quarter Masks and wish we had some around Austin. I could see myself doing an entire series of masks. They look really cool.
Funny thing, I thought that I would get a lot of architecture shots and I actually got very few. Good thing I have Mr. Polaroid here, to “fix up” some of the “almosts” (and make them whole again.)
