In this collection, the work presents a bold abstract exploration of the surreal world. I have always been drawn to working in layers. I often work with reflections, under-painting techniques, or even glazing to give my work an additional dimensionality. In this series, I worked with multiple exposures in order to add layers, but I also introduced bold colors to help give the work an immediacy. My goal for this surreal series is to use the multiple exposures to add depth while the colors come forward to embrace the real world.
As an artist, I thrive on the unexpected, blending digital manipulation with traditional influences to create a visual language that challenges perception. It’s like a kaleidoscope of experiences, where familiar scenes twist and turn into something delightfully unpredictable. This approach reflects a fascination with the dichotomy and contrast between reality and imagination, inviting you to question what you see and how you interpret it.
What excites me about this new work is its ability to spark both thought and laughter.
