Happy Thanksgiving, Y’all!

This Thursday we celebrate Thanksgiving here in Texas. Traditionally, this is a time we stop and reflect upon our harvest season, as we enjoy a bounty with loved ones, family, and friends. Generally speaking, it’s a time for gratitude.

This Thanksgiving finds me filled with gratitude. I am thankful for my family and friends, my patrons, collectors, customers, curators, editors, publishers, fellow artists, students, and even that guy who stopped to help me translate instructions in the airport (thanks, fellow traveler!) As we celebrate and enjoy the food this season, I am especially thankfully that this year, more than ever, I’ve gotten to do a lot of what I love to do as an artist. Carol’s Little World has been a labor of love at times, yes, but I’ve also reached new highs, sharing my quirky style of seeing the world with many visitors, some for the first time. After a long pause, this year I resumed travel and got to visit the top spot on my bucket list, traveling to Barcelona for an invitational exhibition of my work, enjoying the culture, food, and architecture of this fabulous city. I published a photo book, sold my work in the web3 arena, and frequently visited my favorite local stomping grounds for some wonderful new images.

As we celebrate the season, sit down and enjoy the bounty of harvest, I am filled with gratitude and reach out to wish you, your family, and friends a Happy Thanksgiving filled with safe travels and good light (as we photographers like to toast.)

May you enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving and I’m especially grateful that you are part of my little world.

Until next time…
