It’s no secret that I’m in love with the Hipstamatic app for the iPhone. It’s one of my favorite apps because it has such a vintage feel and a retro vibe. It’s downright funky in fact, though some may find it over the top for their tastes. While many opt to use the Hipsta (as I call it) right out of the camera, I often combine it with other applications to help me get the exact look I want. Adjusting contrast and color can be done in Best Camera, for example, and you can combine it with Shake It Polaroid to get an ultra hip totally square retro cool JPEG of goodness.

The Hipstamatic app is really one fine app, and it’s a must to download if you do not have it already.

Thanks for the link to the Hipstamatic guide… I have it on my iPhone but cannot, try as I might, get it to change film types from the "Ina" option… even following the instructions. Must be a bug of sorts and always winds up being a problem for another day… I love the Kodot film type friends of mine use but so far have been unsuccessful getting it for myself… SIGH… (word verification for this comment: rugum)

Hi Victoria, I have the same problem too. I eventually got it to change film types but it took me a while. I think it has to do with the fact that we have iPhone 4's (do you have the 4 too?) and that the Hipsta is not quite "ported" to the iPhone 4 yet. (They claim it works but it sometimes crashes and there are some other problems, like what we are seeing with the film type.)
No worries though, as they are always updating the Hipsta and, sometime soon, we'll get even more features, not to mention our cameras have the built-in flash and HDR. Can you imagine the built-in colored flashes working with the hipsta and the iPhone 4? Wow! The world will be an interesting place once they get all of that sorted out.
I can't wait! Another thing I love about the iPhone, they are always making news, cooler stuff for it.
