Sorry about the VW, really I am. I know how much the guys from Top Gear go on about VW’s being the devil’s spawn and all. Believe me, it wasn’t my intention. I just loved the idea of seeing the new world since 1878. Interesting joint, don’t you think?
For some reason, I’m in the mood for Mexican today. I even got some veggie meat I can use to make some tacos. I think tomorrow’s dinner is going to be tacos, at least that’s how I’m feeling.
Been a quiet weekend-went down to the Texas Wax meeting and caught up with the wax folks. Got some ideas for stuff to do, stuff I need to do, and the like. We talked about East, the upcoming East Austin Studio Tour and giant artfest in the fall. Lots of stuff going on.
Then, I came home today and started playing with some stuff from Mexico. I’ve got some stuff too, that, let me just say, it’s trippy and leave it at that. Yeah, very very trippy, that is. Think “Fear and Loathing Down Mexico Way” and you’re pretty much there.
Woa Dude.

I've had five VWs. I have one now.' 72 super beetle convertible. Same car Gldie Hawn drove around in 'Foul Play'. Even the color. I have driven it coast to coast, and all the way down to Mexico city. I refuse to apologize for any of my VWs. Actually, for me, the VW was the most interesting part of the photo.

Well, just between you and me, I kind of suspect that Jeremy Clarkson actually likes them but he's trapped and now cannot admit it. I mean, how would it look if, after all these years, all the years of hosting the show, and all the years of "cheap car challenges" where the loser gets a VW, if he were to come out and say, "oh, it's not so bad. I actually like them." !!
I think he secretly just hates Porsches.
But, you know, we have to pretend. It's for the great good, really.
