New Horizons

It’s about time, don’t you think, for my first “big blog” from my new “big” computer? Gosh, I hope you missed me. Seriously, it’s been a difficult weekend, though I have gotten a little bit done.

On Saturday, I went to the Grape Stomp at the Fall Creek winery, out in Tow, Texas. It was a lot of fun, though I was kind of tired, so I did not do a “full day’s worth” of shooting. Still, I think I got some good shots, in particular, I shot the trees out there, with the lensbaby, in infrared, which is what I wanted to do. It’s always great when you set out to do something and you end up doing exactly what it is you set out to do, even if you don’t get to do anything else as part of the trip. It’s late and I’m tired, and I just realized that probably doesn’t make any sense at all but, hey, I got a new computer, so, no, I won’t stop babbling on about nothing in particular and everything in-between.

Today I tried to laze but I ended up setting up my new computer, which was a bit of a drag, but it’s done now. I had to re-install Photoshop (oh the horror, I still don’t know where my cab files are. If you find them, please let me know, ok?) I’m enjoying now a much larger computer, even if I cannot find anything and certain things are all screwy. Hey, go figure. There was a battle royale with email, I’ll spare you the details but, suffice it to say, Time Warner almost got a yelling at. Lucky for them the good folks at Apple have really good FAQ’s or I would be strangling a cable guy from across the other end of a telephone (without a valid email address mind you) right about now.

I’m sure there’s much more to say but, for now anyway, I wanted to post up the first shot with the new iMac.

Until next time…
