Booking Travel

This morning finds me booking travel yet again. I’ll be at this place soon enough. I’m headed to New Orleans for a quick weekend getaway at the end of the month. Look for some night work on Bourbon Street, some French Quarter, and maybe a cemetery or two.

This time around, I’m booking with the National Geographic Photo Expeditions workshops. I hope to be having a fun time and to get some great shots. I think I have all of the camera gear I need, so no fuss over waiting for extra packages, although, as you probably could very well guess, I’ll be getting a bit of compact flash before my trip (HA! Now when am I not out of that stuff?)

That and maybe a new pair of jeans. Other than that, it’s just going to be a pack and go sort of a trip.

Travel booking this time didn’t even feel as bad as before, although I’m sure I’m leaving something out. I’ll probably remember tomorrow. (“Oh darn! I forgot to…) For now anyway, it all just sort of feels alright.

Until next time…

sounds fun, I'm into at home activities, teaching poetry workshops and teaching classes on creativity and enjoying hubby who is building a boat. Great way to spend your winter in 60 degree weather…I'm still working on my powerpoint slide show of Iceland for their reunion in June for Icelandic Association of Utah.

It's been warm here too, although I have to say the weather is nice now. I hope I don't get too much rain in the 'Quarter even though that can make for some interesting shots. It sure hurts my back a lot when it's dank and damp there.

Only by going alone in silence, without baggage, can one truly get into the heart of the wilderness. All other travel is mere dust and hotels and baggage and chatter.
